La Cour des Saveurs
Presents you its cooked meals, pâtés, sauces and dessert naturally elaborated without additives or preservatives according to medieval recipes. (Viandier de Taillevent, Ménagier de Paris...) These products have been elaborated for a medieval cuisine project in a castle of the XV° century (west of France). You are about to discover the surprising flavors of the middle ages: the mix of sweet and salty, the mix of spices and aromatics plants. At that time, cool conservation did not exist. The meats were often seasoned with vinegar. To compensate this strong acidity, the arrival of spices from the East and the addition of honey nicely balanced the seasoning of many dishes. The addition of aromatic herbs brought a very particular touch.
