After Provence became part of the kingdom of France in 1481, a new coat of arms appeared, inspired by that of Charles d'Anjou. It took the place of the previous one, thanks in particular to the support of the royal power (Azure a fleur-de-lys Or surmounted by a three-point label Gules).
